Gorillas in the Mist

Based on the bestselling novel, GORILLAS IN THE MIST is the extraordinary true story of Dian Fosesy and the endangered mountain gorilla she spent 19 years studying and protecting. Caustic and abrasive, she discovered the gorilla family structure was one she never experienced growing up and developed a strong bond with the animals. Constantly battling poachers, government officials and terrified local villagers, she always persisted in her mission: protect the gorillas at all cost.

Reimagined for the stage by Academy Award-Nominated screenwriter Anna Phelan (Gorillas in the Mist, Mask, Girl, Interrupted) and puppets to be designed by the Jim Henson Creature Shop (Sesame Street, The Dark Crystal, The Muppets), GORILLAS IN THE MIST is a powerful story of family, culture-clash and the limitation of fighting for what's right.

Fossey's extensive research and legacy live on through the work of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International.
